Pond Inlet, located in the northern part of Baffin Island, presents one of the toughest environments on Earth. Situated more than 700 kilometers above the Arctic Circle, it is surrounded by constantly moving sea ice where polar bears hunt for food. In this harsh setting, Les is armed with just the essentials to survive for the next week: a chunk of raw seal liver, some blubber for warmth, a seal hook, three matches, and a knife.
