A group of four British chefs arrives to compete for a chance to take home a hefty cash prize. As the competition kicks off, they tackle an appetizer round featuring an American classic and a Japanese treat. The judges await to see how the British chefs will impress them. Next, the entrée basket reveals a surprising crunchy and cheesy ingredient, prompting one chef to attempt a highly intricate dish. However, with only 30 minutes on the clock, will it prove to be too ambitious? Finally, the two finalists are challenged to elevate a traditional British biscuit from the dessert basket, keeping the judges on the edge of their seats as they hope one competitor's cakes will shine.
