During a poker night, Master Sergeant Woodruff surprises Radar by offering him a promotion to lieutenant. However, Radar feels uncomfortable in this new role and struggles with the responsibilities it entails. Ultimately, he decides to step back and resume his former position as an enlisted soldier, where he feels more at ease and capable.
