Pingu wakes up and tries to rouse Pinga, but she doesn’t stir. Noticing red spots on her head, he suspects she might have colored them in with a nearby crayon. As more spots appear, Pingu pulls back the blanket to find Pinga covered in them—she has measles! He calls for their parents, who rush in to comfort her while instructing Pingu to fetch the doctor, a wet cloth, some milk, a woolly hat, and biscuits. While the doctor examines Pinga, Pingu feels overlooked and starts rummaging through the doctor’s bag. After finding a badge, he’s disappointed when it’s given to Pinga, who begins to perk up. Frustrated by the lack of attention, Pingu pretends to be unwell, claiming he has a cough and a sore foot, but nobody pays him any mind.
