Gina contemplates leaving Los Angeles after Donna reveals the truth about her parentage. Angered by this revelation, Gina lashes out at Donna, realizing that her difficult upbringing was rooted in rejection rather than mere circumstance. She turns away from David's support, seeking solace in Dylan instead. A jealous David confronts Dylan, leading to a brief altercation that results in Dylan getting pushed in front of a car, suffering only minor injuries. David breaks up with Gina, deeming her a bad influence, and reconciles with Dylan. Donna reassures Gina that her relationship with her stepfather was genuine. Visiting her childhood home brings back fond memories for Gina. Meanwhile, Matt feels threatened when Dylan splurges on a $16,000 painting for Kelly. Kelly challenges Dylan to either commit for life or step back, and his hesitant response leads her to stay with Matt. She later tells Donna that her ultimatum was a test, though she admits she’s unsure of her feelings.
