After Dr. Janet Napier is acquitted in court with a "Not Proven" verdict, Taggart embarks on a deeper, more personal inquiry into her case. As additional murders occur, Taggart is forced to confront the unsettling possibility that he may have misjudged the doctor's innocence all along.
