Title: Entanglement, Part 1 Plot: The starship Independence is set to make history as it ventures into the subspace currents that facilitate warp travel within the Briar Patch. Meanwhile, officers from the Excelsior encounter an old foe while investigating unusual readings on Ba'ku. Dr. Henglaar confronts lingering personal issues when his ex-fiancée, Chief Engineer Sou, boards the Independence with her husband, CMO Qu'Qul. Tensions escalate when Qu'Qul discovers his wife's unresolved feelings for Henglaar, prompting him to challenge the Tellarite doctor to a traditional Klingon contest for her heart.
