Horatio faces a challenging situation when a member of his team allows their personal issues to interfere with a case centered around a jilted ex-lover. The emotional turmoil of the team member begins to compromise the integrity of the investigation. As tensions rise, Horatio is left with no choice but to dismiss the affected team member in order to maintain the professionalism and focus necessary for solving the case.
