Kingdom (2007)

S1E1 Episode 1

Peter Kingdom is gradually piecing his life together following his brother's mysterious disappearance six months ago. However, his attempts at normalcy are disrupted when his sister Beatrice arrives to stay in his spare room after completing rehab. Meanwhile, Peter investigates two cases: one involving two sons who have come back to settle their mother’s estate, and another where local resident Sidney Snell seeks to challenge the planning authority. As the episode concludes, Peter relaxes with a drink, only to be interrupted by Simon's phone ringing.
