Douglas realizes that Amy possesses remarkable math skills, prompting him to invest more time in recognizing his daughters as individuals for the first time. This newfound attention leads Emma to relocate to their secluded shed, seeking some distance from Amy. Meanwhile, Graham befriends a new classmate, which forces Angie to interact with the boy's mother, Nora, much to her dismay. However, after a pleasant encounter with Nora, Angie begins to appreciate their time together, sparking jealousy in Poppy over Angie's blossoming friendship.
