A new victim goes missing, and constable Chris Collins receives a severed finger in the mail, indicating that the murderer is toying with him. Chris, a young constable whose demeanor annoys Alex, soon vanishes himself, abducted by the killer who strips him and hangs him up. As time runs out, Tony deduces that the murderer is someone who could easily earn people's trust—like a doctor—and he hurries to rescue Chris before it’s too late.
