After careful thought, Jack chooses to stand for parliament as an independent candidate. Elizabeth embraces Matthew as he invites Olivia to dinner. Meanwhile, Sarah doubts Regina's true intentions. Regina proceeds to sign the divorce papers. Sir Richard stops by to offer his condolences to Elizabeth following Douglas' death. Rumors about Dawn's pregnancy start to circulate. Henry and Jack discover that the Board has requested Jack's medical records. Carolyn uncovers the reality of Jack's struggle with pill addiction. Fast forward three months, and Jack is found stumbling through a paddock, clearly intoxicated.
