Amy, Maxine, and Lauren struggle to adapt to their new living situation. Vincent stops by to help mend the relationship between his mother and sister, urging them to consider living together once more. After a heartfelt call from Lauren to Michael about the move, he proposes that she stay with him. Meanwhile, Amy finds herself in the middle of a custody battle with a father who is unwilling to take a paternity test. Donna explores a romance with one of Amy's former law school classmates, while Amy decides to end her relationship with Barry.
