Tess becomes anxious about Hayley’s well-being when one of her new friends faces allegations of assaulting a girl at school. Tom's daughter, Susan, recently returned to Mt Thomas, believes in the boy’s innocence as she teaches him. However, the situation takes a dark turn when it’s revealed that he had previously killed a classmate two years ago. Though he was too young to be prosecuted, concerns arise about whether he could act violently again. The arrival of the boy's father triggers a series of events that threaten Tom and Susan's safety.
