While police forces from across the state organize a sting operation to catch him, Adam spots a suspicious bystander and instinctively takes him into custody. In a remarkable turn of events, Adam successfully concludes the manhunt and earns the title of hero. As the Heelers reflect on the incident, they delve into the emerging method of "profiling," which Maggie has recently studied at a seminar, piquing Adam's interest. However, Nick argues that traditional policing led to the capture of the killer, insisting it will be the same approach that will catch future criminals, as Adam continues to investigate a series of arson incidents at the local primary school.
