Tenzin struggles to train the new recruits of the Air Nation due to Bumi's poor attitude. His challenges escalate when Jinora, spurred by Kai, starts asserting her independence and insists on receiving her airbending tattoos. The situation intensifies when the new airbenders must confront a gang of bison rustlers who have kidnapped Jinora, Kai, and several bison calves.
