The Kindness of Strangers (2019)
Clara and her two sons flee her abusive husband, hoping for a fresh start in New York with only their car. When the vehicle is towed, they cross paths with Alice, who helps them find refuge in an emergency shelter. While attempting to steal food at a struggling Russian restaurant named ‘Winter Palace,’ Clara meets Marc, tasked with revitalizing the establishment. As the ‘Winter Palace’ becomes a haven, it brings together a diverse group of individuals, each facing their own crises, united by the whims of fate and the kindness of strangers.
