Philip Waley

1 title Production

Philip Waley has spent more than three decades building a career in film and television, earning a reputation as an award-winning producer with a diverse portfolio.

His passion for the industry took root early. At just 13, he landed his first job as a runner on a British Caledonian Airways commercial. From there, he seized every opportunity—working in TV news, commercials, and post-production. After earning a BA Hons in Media Production from a film school in Dorset, England, he launched his professional career in advertising, producing hundreds of commercials worldwide and winning a Silver Lion at Cannes. Though his sights were always set on feature films, he credits commercials as a strong foundation. He capped that chapter with a week-long shoot alongside the McLaren Formula One Team in Barcelona—a personal highlight for the avid F1 fan—before pivoting fully to features.

Waley founded Shaken Not Stirred Inc., a Los Angeles-based production company active across film and TV. He has collaborated with major studios including Legendary, Warner Bros, Fox, Netflix, Lionsgate, Sony, and Universal. His recent credits include *Den of Thieves 2*, *To Leslie*, *The Red Sea Diving Resort*, *The Machine*, *Escape Room 2*, *The Nun*, *The Empty Man*, *Columbus Circle*, *Solomon Kane*, *Jumper*, *Hostel 1 & 2*, and *Pink Panther*.

He is also a partner in Baral-Waley, a full-service LA production company. Together with producer Richter Hartig, the trio formed Harbor Wall Productions, combining decades of studio, network, and indie experience to support productions worldwide.

During the 2020 COVID-19 crisis, they produced the indie feature *To Leslie*—the story of a lottery winner who squanders her fortune. Described as “a sad, sweet country song of a movie,” it earned Andrea Riseborough an Academy Award nomination for Best Actress.
